30-30 Scholarship Program
President Obama launched My Brother’s Keeper initiative designed to empowering boys and young men of color, a segment of our society which too often faces disproportionate challenges and obstacles to success. He has called upon the African- American community to become involved in mentoring and supporting young African-American males.
C.A.R.L. designed the 30-30 Program to serve young men. The goal is to promote leadership skills; respect for elders, parents or guardians; higher education; self-discipline; and history. The program will introduce youth to positive male role models and provide a forum for numerous subjects. Resources utilized for the experience will be HBCU tours, community programs and organizations which share the same vision.
